Siam Rath reported from the provincial police HQ in Nakhon Pathom, central Thailand where a gang of safe crackers were arrested.

This resulted in a large number of police being named by the media. They were led by provincial commander Pol Maj-Gen Chomchawin Purathananon.

Arrested for the theft of a grannie's safe and contents were Pui, 34, Pleum, 20, and married couple Phaen, 28, and Mai, 29.

These did the requisite pointing at the evidence.

Four heavily armed commandos were also in attendance to complete the press conference.

Chomchawin revealed that on 17th September Waree, 80, had reported a theft to the Bang Luang police.

Investigators studied CCTV in the vicinity that ultimately led them to a house in Lat Lum Kaew, Pathum Thani.

At the scene of the crime at 2 am on the 15th September, Pui and Pleum had arrived on a Honda Wave while the other two waited in a Hilux pick-up.

Pui and Pleum went into the house and stole the safe that they then transported out using a trolley held by the pillion passenger on the bike.

This was shown in a reenactment.

The safe was then loaded on the pick-up and driven away to be cracked at the house.

All the suspects were charged with burglary at night using a conveyance.

Rather bland. When will they introduce some innovative pointing? ????

Wow, safe crackers.

It looks like the safe was attacked with a flame thrower, then thrown from a building, finally being dragged down the highway by a Honda Wave.

Looks like they have a very technical approach

Real professionals.

Yeah, they looked really dangerous. Very big need of commandos here.

wow   !  this is exciting because we rarely get a story about safe crackers  .....

problem is ... that safe looks older than my great grandmother  !

Hahaha what an absolute joke.... it's hardly oceans 11 is it... more like a couple of meth heads that stole some loose change and a few amulets!!! Embarrassing, absolutely embarrassing!

That is some top pointing, the guy on the right is really putting extra effort in using both hands!

Crack heads more likely, rather than safe crackers.

I had no idea it was actually required.............are they professional pointers?

That lot couldn't detect a gas leak with a naked flame!

I have to admit they really love photo ops here..

Define 'heavily armed' Did they have howitzers on their backs?

What are those rags wrapped around the perps throats?

Makes total sense....The local motorcycle taxi guys would have kicked their ass otherwise.

Be fair, even the commandos are pointing their weapons.

Not enough to point...

Such a lovely looking foursome. It almost sounds like some posters would want them as friends.                                                                                            Good job that they were caught and are being charged. Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.
