Popular Post webfact
PHOTO: Thansettakij By Nop Meechukhun Local entrepreneurs of marijuana businesses are urging the Thai government to reiterate its support on cannabis and hemp laws due to fears over the withdrawal of the first draft law by the House of Representatives. The rejection showed disagreement among the coalition government as well as triggered fears among health associations, cannabis investors, and the public as the law may be delayed without notice and cause significant financial loss among investors and negative consequences among society. Sittichai Daengprasert, chairman of the Dietary Supplement Industry Club and Herbal Industry Club under the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), stated that the withdrawal caused confusion among small entrepreneurs and concerns that the drug may be recategorized as an illegal narcotic drug again. Popular Post MrMuddle
Continued Legalisation will lead to a huge future boom in both tourists, and exports. Stupid to backtrack now. Plus the Party that re-criminalises Cannabis will lose a massive number of votes in future elections. Thailand is a much happier country since de-criminalisation. Except for the "Reefer Madness" right wing and religious zealots brigade, obviously. 7 1 3

Popular Post JayClay
As Britman pointed out in another recent thread on the subject; the longer they squabble over restrictions, the longer this period of total non-restrictions is. This is one of those rare times where we should actually be hoping this gets dragged out for years. 5 1

They've recently legalised both Cannabis and abortion, seems pretty forward thinking, to me. There are many "first world" countries that could learn a lesson or two here.
