Perhaps he is happier in the company of his family rather than that of coup makers and countries leaders, who speak different things out of both sides of their their mouths.

 

As for ASEAN, all they are is an expensive talking shop. They have NEVER been a doing shop. They must always end in a face saving compromise.

 

If Thailand wants to support China or the USA it is up to them. What they cannot do is support both China and the USA equally. It has to be one side, or the other, or neither.

Of course. When westerners think of Asia, Thailand certainly doesn't spring to mind.  What have they offered the world except rice.  And many westerners call the Kingdom as Taiwan by mistake!
