Man Arrested for Shooting Best Friend in the Face at Remote Hut
Picture of arrest Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for the cold-blooded murder of his best friend, whom he shot in the face at a remote hut in a rubber plantation. The suspect, who had been on the run for several days, was finally caught in a rubber forest with a rifle and multiple firearm accessories. The arrest was led by Pol. Col. Natthawut Thongthip, Deputy Commander of Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Police, alongside officers from Phibun Police Station and Region 8 Investigation Unit. The suspect, identified as Mr. Phithak, was wanted on charges of murder and illegal possession of firearms under an arrest warrant issued by Thung Song Provincial Court. The murder took place on February 23 in Moo 6, Phibun District, Nakhon Si Thammarat, where the victim, Mr. Hasdee 46, was found dead in a small hut in a rubber plantation. Police investigations revealed that the two men, once close friends, had an intense argument on February 22, during which the victim allegedly insulted the suspect’s mother outside his home. Enraged by the altercation, Mr. Phithak decided to take revenge. That night, he retrieved a long-barrelled firearm, rode a motorbike to the rubber plantation, and walked up the hill to where the victim was sleeping in his hut. Without hesitation, he shot Mr. Hasdee in the face, killing him instantly, before fleeing the scene on his motorbike. After the killing, the suspect hid the weapon at a relative’s oil palm plantation before escaping into the wilderness. Police tracked him down to a rubber plantation in Chang Klang District, where he was arrested. During questioning, the suspect admitted to the crime, claiming he had been planning to surrender but was caught before he could do so. Following the arrest, officers recovered the murder weapon and conducted a crime reconstruction at the scene. The suspect is now in custody at Phibun Police Station, where he faces legal proceedings for the murder. It is 15 days, but better take that as 14 days because of the way some immigration offices are counting it. -

He called George HW Bush a "loser" for being shot down. Of course he would deny all of that, he even denied calling McCain a loser at one point. He denied, when shown a bill to bury a slain US soldier, "it doesn't cost $60,000 to bury a "f***ing Mexican". He denies being a sexual deviant. He denies using prostitutes. He denied calling the Ukrainian President a Dictator. He denies being a stooge for Russia. He denies being a racist. He denies mocking the disabled. He denies saying US troops who suffered traumatic brain injuries after a missile attack as having "headaches". He denies disrespecting a slain US soldier during a call with the soldier's monther. He denies, saying, while standing at the grave of his Homeland Security Secretary's son "whats in it for them". Never admits to anything. Its all made up. The whole world is out to get him But we all know what he said to Billy Bush, and apparently he's proud of that. You might like him. I've haven't got much time for such a Berk (I use the deliberately contracted minced oath). -

Smuggled Cigarettes Hidden in Parcels Seized at Border Checkpoint
Picture of seizure. Authorities in Kanchanaburi have seized packs of smuggled cigarettes concealed inside sealed parcels, in an apparent attempt to evade detection. The operation took place on 28 February, at a border checkpoint in Sangkhla Buri district, following a tip-off about illegal contraband being transported from the border. The seizure was part of a joint operation led by Major General Asadawut Panyarachun, commander of the 9th Infantry Division and Surasi Task Force, in coordination with Kanchanaburi Governor, Athisan Intra. The crackdown is part of the government’s initiative to combat smuggling along border routes. Acting on intelligence received earlier that day, Colonel Pannasak Phreawpanich, commander of the 29th Infantry Regiment, and Colonel Piyanes Patrasasawatwong, deputy commander of the Lad Ya Task Force, deployed officers from the 134th Border Patrol Police Unit and Sangkhla Buri Police Station to set up a checkpoint at Nam Krik, a suspected smuggling route near Songkaria Village, Nong Lu Subdistrict. During the operation, officers stopped a black Toyota Revo pickup truck driven by Mr. Watthana, a private courier service employee. Upon inspection, they discovered large cardboard boxes sealed and packed as standard parcels. Inside, they found smuggled cigarettes, with no documentation indicating proper tax payment. Mr. Watthana told police that he had collected the parcels from a logistics company in Moo 9, Nong Lu Subdistrict, and was instructed to deliver them to Royal Thai Air Force Wing 7 in Surat Thani and a residential area in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima. He also noted that the parcels had an unusual instruction written on them, stating: “If the recipient does not answer the phone, leave the package at the location.” However, he claimed he was unaware of their contents. Authorities have seized the contraband and handed it over to Sangkhla Buri Police Station for further investigation. Police are now working to trace the source of the illegal shipment and identify those responsible for the smuggling operation. -- 2025-03-01 -
