Nonthaburi immigration works slowish. Officers slurping their coffee, looks like it's not well organized.

Had to go through water knee deep because of flooding. What an entrance...

Won't go there again.

Chaeng Watthana appears to be much more efficient.

Years gone by had a reputation as being difficult however that seemed to have changed.

Be aware that if you wish to deal with another office you would require a TM30 change of address.

You need to deal with the office where you live..

CW is good and very professional. 

Yesterday I went to CW, I always thought that Nonthaburi was a district of Bangkok but learnt it the hard way...

But like I wrote in my earlier post, CW appears to be well organized.

A common misunderstanding.

Some people might also think that Suvarnabhumi airport is IN Bangkok.

The big concrete/asphalt lump of Bangkok and surrounding provinces is often referred as "Bangkok Metropolitan Region".

 

I have never had any problems with Nonthaburi immigration, although I preferred its old location and ease of access. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful although service is a bit slow, but I'm retired what's the rush. As for the floods why blame immigration, blame the government and Bangkok.

I'm on 800,000 that I keep in a fixed account. Do you know if the bank book and bank letter will be enough (at Nonthaburi) ? Next Feb will be my 1st time at Nonthaburi office.

The fact that it's a FD account without 'daily transactions ' should not require bank statements.

 

Photocopies of bank book pages along with bank letter should be sufficient. 

And an update of the bank book (print) same day.

Might require some transaction (deposit) be done at the bank counter because some banks can not update without transaction.

Bangkok Bank can.
