Thai Rath reported on a can of worms being increasingly revealed at several police stations in Ranong in the south of Thailand.

Last week a senior sergeant major called Thapanat was investigated for stealing seven state own guns from the armory and dealing in methamphetamine. He also tested positive for taking the drug.

He is under suspension.

Three of the weapons have been discovered.

In latest developments the Ranong provincial chief Pol Maj-Gen Chertpong Chewprecha said that Thapanat had implicated a sergeant at the Pak Nam Ranong station as being involved in the gang selling guns for meth.

He has been interrogated and has also tested positive for using the drug.

Now it is thought that 4-5 others are involved in a gang that comprises police and members of the public.

Warrants are pending in the scandal that comes after the mass shooting in the NE last week and a crackdown on guns and drugs.

Police dealing meth.  Police taking meth.  Police getting fired for meth, then killing like 30 children.   Meth, meth, police, police........ sounds like a good place to retire and feel super safe.

Are you trying to tell me LOS isn't all it's cracked up to be?

Can we go back to no news and just act like it's all rainbows and strawberries ..

can I say rainbows in 2022 and not offend any snowflakes here???

can I say snowflakes??

Are you talking about the mamby-pandy, swivel-eyed, health-obsessed avocado-hugging snowflakes by any chance ?

I would hope these police are not still walking around in public, but I suspect they are. It seems that all the deadly conflicts happen when the bad guys are out on bail and go crazy. Thats part of the loop that need to be closed

Please avocados out of it.

There is plenty of crack in Thailand.

There are cracks in Thailand.

Can I say that?

So in other words, the RTP conducting business as normal. No wonder people trust them so much (not).

Let's hope that the guns were tested and on file and every death accountable for the guns gives them another 20 years in prison

Taking a chance with the defamation laws anytime you mention something not nice. Hats off to you all for reporting.  News can be dangerous in many parts of the world, I'm afraid.

Are you really surprised on that? When Asean Now was Thaivisa forum, there was an article about the Thai military. They owned houses, hotels, resorts, malls and so on. Due to an incident, all went to government.

However government is again Thai military.

Even stated that Prayut could still live in his house, as he did so good for the nation. Also once an article about the wealth of Prayut, which is questionable.

But is it different then anywhere else? My opinion ...NO.

Police dealing in drugs, dealing in guns... of course, how else do they acquire funds to buy promotion.

AH the ROYAL Thai Police  again involved truly amazing and yet  so PREDICTABLE . WE Are the POLICE unaccountable and can do what we like !!

And want to Police to enforce GUN LAWS.....a JOKE surely

I think that many strawberries and snowflakes will find your comments about them to be extremely offensive and as for rainbows ,well i am shocked.

The tip of the iceberg...

The rotten to the core Thai police force only interested in filling their own pockets full of baht and no respect for the nation or it's citizens.

What do you think happens to the millions of Ya Ba pills that get picked up by the police..
