Our picture this morning shows the faces of two men who abducted another man because they claim he stole a generator worth 20,000 baht and borrowed a motorcycle that he failed to return.

They are 42 year old Arom from Samut Sakhon and 49 year old Theeradech from Sakon Nakon.

They abducted 26 year old Amarin from his house in Sakon Nakhon earlier in the week.

They made a video as they beat his face to a pulp.

Then they sent this to his relatives.

Theeradech could be heard saying: "Tell us and we wont weigh you down in the river with rocks".

Then Amarin was kicked some more.

Amarin's younger sister Narin, 24, went to the Charoen Sin police who brought the suspects in.

They denied charges saying they would fight them in court.

They face five years and a fine of 100,000 baht.

When reporters from Thai Rath asked why they did not go to the police Theeradech said he was "satisfied" with his own attempt to get their things back.

And yet they face a max of 5 years, and a fine which they will never pay.

Oh, sorry, the man in the photo is the man that did the kidnapping , not the man who got the beating. Easy mistake

“Neither a borrower, nor a lender be…”

These two should be the real poster boys for "Thailand, the land of smiles."

I think you just ruined your own defense line.
