Current long term unlimited internet from phone?

Featured Replies

I've been away for too long and my Thai sim card has expired. Flying in in a couple of weeks and need long term internet, 6 months or longer. I will be using my phone as a hotspot when in my residence.

I see two issues, 1 being that I need a phone as soon as I get in, and the other is the long term unlimited.  Should I pick up a tourist sim at the airport and then order an additional sim on lazada or elsewhere, or can I get a reasonably priced unlimited sim at the airport?

From what I've seen the lazada prices are much better than the airport prices. Please correct me if this is wrong.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

One more thing I neglected to add, which carrier has the bsst service around Pattaya?

Depends where in Pattaya you are staying but AIS seems generally reliable, both AIS and DTAC good for central and Pratumnak, Avoid True for Pratumnak.

Maybe get a 1 month unlimited sim at the airport from AIS desk, the good Lazada deals are usually 1 year

buy a generic "50 baht tourist SIM", activate an internet package for 1 month, and buy a 1 year unlimited SIM from Lazada or Shopee.

Thanks for the input. I had true before and was not pleased with their service. I'll pick up a 1 month 50 baht at the airport and then get a 1 year later. Perusing a bunch of threads here shows a monthly sale on 9/9, 10/10, so hopefully there will be one on 11/11.
