An 18-year-old boy in the Mekong Delta's Vinh Long Province was arrested after raping a 12-year-old girl when he gave her a ride home.

 

Duong Nhat Du, 18, was arrested by police of Vung Liem District to be investigated for "Raping a person under 16."

 

On October 8, an acquaintance asked Du to give the girl a ride home from a local food stall. Instead, Du brought her to a grass field where few people came by, before raping her.
