Family of 3 perish in northern Vietnam road accident

A family of three traveling on a motorbike was killed after a truck hit them from behind in the northern province of Ninh Binh.

Bui Khac Dat, 42, was driving his wife, 34, and their 9-year-old son on a road in Nho Quan District Tuesday when a truck hit them at a sharp turn.

The truck, driven by 56-year-old Luu Van Nam, hit the motorbike so hard that they were thrown into a field about three meters away from the road. Local reports say all three people on the motorbike died on the spot while the truck was mildly damaged in the front.
