Institutions organizing Chinese, Japanese and Korean language proficiency exams in Vietnam had postponed them well before the education ministry's circular was sent Tuesday to localities nationwide.

Soon after the circular began making its rounds, the British Council announced that it was indefinitely postponing the IELTS and other English proficiency exams starting Thursday, saying the decision was "beyond our control."

Resumption of the exams would depend on approval from the Ministry of Education and Training, the council said.

Sounds very much like the (around 700) decree that China instigated. Busting a $1.5 Billoon dollar industry on the 7th August 2021.

Thus decree, effectively fired from employment over 60,000 online (English, American, South African Australian, teachers) foreign English language teachers over night.

China wants some of the $1.5 Biilion. They are making regulation to instigate government control. Basically, wanting bribes for foreign language schools to operate in the country.

Finally, all foreign teachers cannot teach online to this day, unless you actually live and reside in China.
