That's labs for you ! Great for a cuddle and playing fetch, ferociously guarding property - not so good ????

We should give some credit the to alleged criminal for having such lovely and well-adjusted pooches. He can't be all bad...

Colonel Sujin told the Phuket Express that the arrest came after police were notified that the German man sent a picture of a gun over a LINE application to threaten someone. That unidentified individual then reported the threat to police.

Dumb as dumb gets

Overstay and on the op of that threaten somebody with a picture of a gun and in possession of illicit drugs. Great way to invite scrutiny and get exposed.

This kind of overstayer is the ones the police want to get out the country at last begging to get rid of the BAD guys. Not picking on 65 year old pensioners because they are on overstay because the Bhat is performing well and reduce the exchange rate for the visa application.

I haven't seen the video of the police first entering the house, so can't comment.

Perhaps the officer who led the raid was more concerned about not getting shot than the one that led the New Zealander raid.

Perhaps you're just argumentative with some posters.

Strange attitude.

What other country can you simply move to and live illegally?

Advanced age and reduced income are hardly Thailand's problem.

So, now the Germans start to catch up with the Brits. Good they caught him. Now process and ship him away to the hole he came from. Maybe a couple of years in Thai jail would do him good to.

Someones not been taking their medication today? ????

Here we go again. Regardless of him obviously being a moron and not smart at all. Why those guys are ALWAYS!! on overstay. It’s not that a visa run costs a fortune and the story didn’t mention he was persecuted in Germany (which would have been the only logical argument to overstay and stay under the radar)

Interesting, what kind of quality tourism is being attracted by Thailand. Assuming that it might be an "interesting" challenge to arrive in the Kingdom with all that gear, the question remains - to me - where all the stuff obtained in Thailand came for.
Called Makro, Lotus's and Big C Supersupersuperextra - they all confirmed not carrying such commodities. Your call!

The German bloke and his lovely wife are to see the slammers from the inside; he for arrogant  stupidity and she for marrying such a pristine example of the alien lot ????

Sometimes I think Thailand is a gathering place for criminal foreigners, the solution to the problem is stricter control of residence permits and, associated with this, immediate expulsion from Thailand with an entry ban for several years.

So not even 1 gram of drugs (wouldn't that be personal use so not exactly crime of the century), an old hand gun and some gunpowder (was it an antique black powder weapon), over stay just stupid but I've known a few and they weren't hardened criminals just ill sort that tomorrow guy's and the mess we'll they had just been raided. Personally I'm not so sure who are worse these guys who are stupid and do stupid things or the nasty venomous posters on here full of hate.

15 thugs, a poor girl  and a nice dog.

It's a strange culture where all the police that were involved in this case agree to have their photos taken!

It's all a bit juvenile by whoever arranges these photo sessions after an arrest and demeans the authority of the police -- if that is possible!

The Pitbull owners will be salivating over a potential response here about how the Police wouldn’t be able to raid the house in the first place if the dog was a beloved Pittie and not a placid Labrador....

But then Mateas could have simply sent a photo of the dog as a threat and have avoided this whole drama !!! :whistling:

What's it got to do with overstaying?

Overstay is what they’ll likely use to ‘deal with the situation’...   they’ll just hand him to immigration and he’ll be deported.... Its just much easier for the BiB that way....

Why is the Wife being charged? was any of this hers ??

oooohhh....   I’m feeling the seeds of another ‘Good guys in bad guys out’ campaign starting to sprout....

Big Joke himself must be tingling in anticipation of an other announcement, yet another crack-down... after all the last one is only 10 days old !!!

Or... will they announce that this is the fruit of the latest ‘crackdown against overstayers’ ?
