What documents do we need to bring to the Amphur to get an uncontested divorce done?

Not visa or extension related. Moved to the Marriage and Divorce forum.

I found this info, is it sufficient?

If returning to the same amphur, embassy or consulate:

1. The two (2) original marriage certificates;
2. Original Thai national ID (if Thai);
3. The Thai party’s Tabien baan (household registration booklet or blue book);
4. Original passport (if a foreigner).

I don't know the requirements but remember your visa, if based on marriage, is voided pretty much immediately, if I'm not mistaken.

Some Farangs I knew married bargirls and got divorces end up paying few hundred baht for Amphur fee. They told me it was simple and cheap as long as its uncontested and willing by both.

Not if on extension for retirement. That was my situation. Non O based on marriage.

They were overcharged. I think I paid 20 baht or something like that.

You need to ask at the amphur where you will get the divorce. Different offices have different requirements. You may need a translator, or not.

The documents are in Thai, so if you want to know what you are signing, get a copy and have it translated.
