In my opinion, most people do become more conservative (small 'c') as they age and you are in a minority who don't.

 

Similarly, many who are pro independence today will be pro union in 30 year's time.

To be honest, most countries that want to be independent have to fight for it, often on the streets.  Sometimes, there are also unintended consequences, such as civil wars where the country actually splits in two- that could happen here as large swathes of Scotland and the islands can be fiercely unionist.

Opinion is just that, opinion. 
 

You cannot say for certainty how people will feel about their present thoughts on independence from the English in the future based on opinion.
 

 You can speculate, that’s all. 
 

And by no means do all change their views as they age. I am proof of that.
 

As for your view I am in the minority…again opinion only.

1. The Empire was British, not English.

2. Out of the 3,987,112 people in Scotland who were eligible to vote in the EU ref, only 1,661,191 voted to remain in the EU.   The reason Scotland is no longer in the EU is because not enough Scots wanted to vote to remain in the EU.   

3.  You had your chance to leave the UK.   Your fellow Scots wanted to stay.   Don't be like Trump, take the loss like a grown up.

That would be correct as, if talks breakdown or an agreement can't be reached, independence will be on hold.

The problem with the UK in general and England in particular is that we don't really produce anything that the rest of the world wants. The UK has become a rentier economy - not a good place to be when the world is in recession.

I read somewhere that Islay generated more revenue for the Exchequer than Birmingham. Maybe a bit tongue in cheek but not far from the truth.
