Popular Post Scott Posted December 2, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 2, 2022 The feat was first documented by others in a human in 2006 in the pre-YouTube era and with technology that is far more cumbersome, mooring patients to a computer with a cord. Mr. Musk’s presentation on Wednesday night offered little that was significantly new from previous demonstrations of the device. He continued to claim that the implant could make computer control possible for people with paralysis outside of a lab setting. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/elon-musk-hopes-to-test-a-brain-implant-in-humans-next-year/ar-AA14Ly9S?ocid=mailsignout&pc=U591&cvid=2518495c6ec24defb0e071a9a79a432c&fbclid=IwAR0RKWBv8DTHS4IE2ncDdViGMB9gDfFGxNvr2rMlm9pI7lPyIbbvUy2ANyE 2 1

Popular Post jcmj Posted December 2, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 2, 2022 Good luck with this one. I’d like to see what they are programming to your brain. I’m sure it’s more than we know. If it is just to help people with paralysis or motor skills that would be a great option for those who need it, but afraid there’s much more to this story than we will ever know. 3 1
Popular Post Tracyb Posted December 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2022 Ya. Let’s see it tested on Musk. 3 1

Aussieroaming Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 It depends on whose brain you end up with I guess.

The video shows a Neuralink monkey playing computer Pong by thinking. The first part explains how he is trained, and shows him playing Pong at 1:50 where the video starts. Maybe later, monkey controlled computers can control humans. 1

Popular Post spidermike007 Posted December 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2022 Some of us are hopeful he either tests the implant on himself, or finally moves to his beloved planet Mars. Just go already, Elon. You are so annoying. 2 1

Would you trust anyone to put a chip in your head? I wouldn't. However, the potential is there ( after many decades of development ) to use chips in brains to cure certain diseases. Early days yet though.
Chomper Higgot Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 The plot thickens. Musk suddenly starts making exaggerated claims about the brain implant technology under development in one of his companies. Why would he do that right now? Well it seems there are problems. Is he now moving into the mad scientist role, his wild experiments to save humanity being destroyed by lesser mortals who cannot grasp what he’s trying to achieve?: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2022/dec/05/neuralink-animal-testing-elon-musk-investigation 1
vandeventer Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 It's bound to happen one day soon, if it happens to me I hope I don't get a brain of a murderer.

Bluespunk Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Musks neuralink company now under investigation for animal cruelty. Apparently musk is pushing hard to get his chip to the market first, mistakes being made because of the pressure being put on employees and animals being put down because of this. hard core doesn’t seem to work there then… https://www.reuters.com/technology/musks-neuralink-faces-federal-probe-employee-backlash-over-animal-tests-2022-12-05/
bendejo Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Try it on himself? NO WAY! He won't even ride in one of his own rockets. Wouldn't surprise me to hear he doesn't even drive a Tesla.
