This thread stresses that following the correct MG ZS EV boot process is very important to getting the Ready to Drive indication.

Hmm ... that's actually making more sense than battery being too warm.  TBH, can't really say I've ever paid any attention to any boot up process.  image.png.c06e9c2073852f7fefcc1cbb1c548d7f.png

Thoughts from elsewhere .... DON'T BELIEVE THE BS ...

... as TH has and excellent, extensive charging network.

These are just the 4 vendors we use, (EV Station Pluz, PEA Volta, MG, Elexa), and not complete listing of all, but close enough.   And also only the fast plug chargers, providing 50kWh + UP.

Those BIG markers just show how few there are in the bigger picture...🤗

Replace them with a 'dot' for the true picture..🤭

Feel free to download the app (Charge Loma) and zoom in for closer peak if you like.  I can't be bothered with your trolling, and silliness for someone who has no experience, knowledge or interest in EVs.

Have a good one.

Unfortunately, you are mistaken, and only have I am "trolling" as a reply.......🤔

Don't forget you don't need them any closer than 150km.  It's not the same as petrol/diesel stations at all.

Most people will never use a charging station.  My daughter's never have, I did once to test it, I have never needed to in 3 years of BEV motoring and that's driving from Chinag Rai to Kamphaeng Phet, nearly 500km.

Quite possible.........🤗

My biggest fear for charging stations are that there aren’t enough people using them and the CPO’s close them down to avoid further losses. Most EV charging is done at home so most of the stations I see are always empty.

Yes, stated the same on the other thread ... "I'm actually hoping sales level off, and mainly so the ratio of EVs on the road, and ratio of CSs remain the same, as long as they are still able to make a profit with numbers already available  & using. "

That would suck if they start closing them, though doubt if MG every would ... saving grace.   Bad enough finding accommodations that are pet friendly .... "do you allow EV charging? " :cheesy:

I've only done that once, at a guesthouse, and he wouldn't take any money.  Then I noticed the solar panels on the bungalows  👍  Though have seen a few folks charging from their bungalows while O&A, and we do take a 20m proper cord with us when on the road, JIC

Good to see Tesla expanding their network.  Will mean less Teslas at PTT Parks :coffee1:

Wish we could use, as the other CS (EA Anywhere) @ Bluport, I'm not really a fan of.   Although there's a MG dealer/CS right up the street if we ever need.

Which would be rare, as HH is only 100 kms away, and no need to top up if we pop up there for the day from home.

That's a new CS, as we were there exactly 1 month ago (10 March), while returning from Krung Thep and they haven't even started installing.

Wish I could contribute more to this topic but I just haven’t needed to visit a CS in months. What I can say though is that the PTT app signs you out if you don’t use it for a while.

Yes, the wife gets logged out, and needs to log in at the start of our O&A, then fine for the duration, usually 7-10 ish days.   Next one might not be for a couple weeks, during rainy season, when we're O&A most, and she'll need to log in at the start again.

MG & PEA Volta seem to stay logged in.

Didn't realize Tesla allows 'supercharging' to other EVs:

image.png.182b016e9854910ba4394f0ce700b53d.png

Of which I only filtered those open to other EVs, and the list of doesn't change.

image.png.ab0e496174b3fe77f5a6429802792a27.png

A few more, conveniently located.  One in Hua Hin already pointed out,   Then about 200 kms south of that, just on the other side of Chumphon border, one located at 'Garage Cafe', which we stopped at, and had a munch on our first day owning our MG EV, as a test run from Prachuap Khiri Khan MG dealer (240 km R/T)

Smart move by 'Garage Cafe' and they serve up some decent food.

Be interesting to see how they progress with their expansion of network, the next few months.  NE & S are lacking at the moment.

I remember reading articles of complains and wanting Tesla to change the 'Tesla only' policy at Superchargers in USA.   I see they now allow all EVs at some chargers now in USA.

Obviously not owning one or living in USA, lack of TSC here/TH, I didn't stay current with info.  The more the better, though do hope MG remains restricted ... ME ME ME

At this time Tesla Supercharger 17 locations are mostly located at some "Central" malls typically located inside a metro area versus being along major highways.

Below Tesla Supercharger Thailand article is from Jun/Sep 2023 when Tesla had 10 supercharger locations in Thailand....as mentioned above now up to 17 locations mostly at some Central malls.  If the Tesla charging fee per KW is still around 10 baht/KW then it's more pricey than other chargers (i.e., PTT, PEA, EA Anywhere, etc) in Thailand.

June 15, 2023  Updated: September 28, 2023

Collection of Tesla Supercharger 250 kW stations in Thailand! Where are they? How many chargers? Already collected 10.10 baht/kW

After the parent company from the United States, TESLA Official (Thailand), was officially launched in December 2022 and began delivering the first batch of cars on February 10, 2023.

TESLA Official (Thailand) opens Tesla Supercharger charging stations in Thailand. Free charging (for now). No need to reserve a queue. First Come, First Serve, starting at Central World first.

*** Starting on September 28, 2023 from 12:01 a.m. onwards, TESLA has an electric charging service fee of 10.10 baht / kW and a fine if the car is not removed from the charging port after fully charging within 5 minutes. The next minute will be charged. 24 baht per minute

Currently, there are 10 Supercharge stations in Thailand......

Photos I posted are from the Tesla app, and would imagine current.  I registered just to peek at their network, and didn't need to have a Tesla to do so.  Did ask for email, but haven't received any Tesla junk mail.

It appears all chargers are for all makes.  At malls are the logical place, for now, and would serve more people, especially those buying & can't charge at home.

More than enough CS on the highways for at all, ATM.  We've seen plenty of Ts charging while O&A.

looks like Tesla has managed to get locations outside of malls and be near the road/highways for once

the supercharger in Central like Pattaya is ridiculous, making it to the top floor of the carpark in a destination where most hotels have AC chargers to use overnight and not worth a detour through traffic and up the carpark if you're heading out further like Rayong

The one in Huahin while in a mall is right on the entrance, The Chumporn Garage is interesting, being a new player, not existing petrol station operator or mall now what's to be seen if he can build a business (rent) around the charger

It's understandable that Tesla can't get permit from the electric company for stand alone connection and it's easier to go piggybacking off existing supply like malls, but other operator manage to get DC charger in petrol stations fine,

There are many Thai roadside business from coach stops restaurants to souvenir shops that has the location suitable for DC charger that don't need to be in petrol stations

Do you use Android?  If so, what is the Google Play link to the app?    I want to ensure I download the Tesla app specifically used for their chargers vs another Tesla app that may only control Tesla EV functions. Thanks.

Check that, I misspoke ... oops

Signed up/registered on their site, not app.

edit: now the app is installed, accepting same email/pswd

as the online site

Although hard to download wrong app, as call Tesla, by Tesla

Does get mixed reviews, and just got updated:

Thanks...that's the app I though would probably be the right one although from reading the Google Play store description the app's primary use is for most anything related to using the Tesla EV with charging being a small part of the app's overall capability.

Whereas charging apps like PTT, PEA, EA Anywhere, etc.,  are solely dedicated to charging.

Yes, noticed that, and the site seems to be updated better, as app not showing the CS at Garage Cafe @ Chumphon.   Does show Bluport/HH

T CS @ Garage Cafe obviously up & running:

The app only has a Google Play store rating of 3.6 out of 5...lots of reviewers giving it low ratings...have lots of issues with the app...but it seems most of the issues relates to how the app controls/monitors EV functions and not relating to being able to pay for charging which requires a credit card.

Additionally it's a BIG app at 190Mb since apparently it can do a lot if you own a Tesla.
