Economic upswing could see HCMC needing 300,000 more workers

If the global economy bounces back next year and Vietnamese companies receive more orders, the city will need 300,000-320,000 more laborers, a government agency has said.

 

The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Forecasting Manpower Needs and Labor Market Information (Falmi) has said that recruitment demands will depend on global economic growth scenarios.

 

If the global economy continues to slow and Vietnam export orders remain short, 2023 labor demand may be for only 280,000-300,000 new workers.
