So wifey and I are going for a 3 month trip back to Aus. 

Was thinking of somehow buying a cheap car for 3 months.

Anyone any ideas?

With the current shortage of new vehicles in Oz, used cars are selling at ridiculous prices.

A small rental in Sydney would be about $1000 a month, you are not going to get anything reliable secondhand for $3000.

    No, I'm a Mexican myself ( south of the border, Melbourne ).

    If you Google "cheap car rentals Sydney" there will be half a dozen websites to choose from. Cars like a Suzuki Swift or Toyota Yaris.
