Daily News Thai Caption: Help me out here

Daily News went to investigate further after a man currently being held on conspiracy to commit human trafficking was arrested.

The man had posted on a Facebook group that he was served a warrant for his arrest in which it was claimed he drove a van in Trat, eastern Thailand, in the course of a crime involving migrants and a shady Chinese businessman.

He said he had never driven a van and never even been to Trat. He was just a humble motorcycle taxi rider in Bangkok. He had no money for bail and would have to stay in jail, he posted, appealing for help.

Payung Mongkhol, 50, was supposed to have driven a van from the border with Cambodia to Lotus in Prachinburi.

Another place he said he'd never been to.

Nong Bon police station, where Phayung is being held would only confirm that they had a suspect, nickname Ball, who was arrested in Bangkok and brought back to Trat.

Pol Lt-Col Somsak Phankratoke said his chief would give more details today.

Reporters spoke to the suspect's wife Janphen Saidee, 41, via phone in Bangkok who said they had been together 6-7 years.

She confirmed his comments and said he has been a "win" at the Thian Talay rank in Bang Khun Thian for ten years.

He doesn't know how to drive a van and never has, she said.

She filmed a clip during the arrest and checked with the local police that the arresting officers were for real.

They confirmed that they were not bogus cops and were taking her husband to Trat on a charge of human trafficking.

A suspect in the case had apparently named her husband as a co-conspirator.
