Democrats are blasting the busing of migrants to Vice President Harris’s Washington, D.C., residence on Christmas Eve, taking aim at Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), whom they blame for dropping the groups off in below-freezing temperatures on a holiday.

The incident was the latest salvo in a months-long effort by Abbott and other Republican governors to urge the Biden administration to bolster its immigration policy and wasn’t the first time migrants have been sent to the vice president’s home. But it will likely intensify the feud over immigration, especially as Title 42 hangs in the balance.

Abbott is aiding and abetting according to this outdated article.

“The free rides given to migrants to travel to sanctuary cities like New York, Washington, D.C., and now Chicago have cost the state $12.7 million so far. Abbott has provided voluntary trips to 8,900 migrants so far, according to his office.

The voluntary busing policy, part of the governor’s Operation Lone Star initiative to slow the number of migrants crossing the border, may actually incentivize migrants coming through Central America and Mexico to reach Texas, Nuñez said.

And if the democrats would have supported the wall from the Pacific to the gulf then this would not be happening. Can't have  it both ways.

I suggest you ask the Chinese how well walls work.

But isn't that a 3 million immigrant storm due to Democratic open border policies ? I'd love to know what any sane person would do if their say 300 people town got 6,000 illegal migrants.

Move them to the closest city?

The only people that need to be asked (ordered) would have been the army corps of engineers. As this nonsense at the border(less) is a national emergency. But the democrats would rather be  giving away billions down the tubes to lost causes like Ukraine. Have to keep the "campaign contributions" from the military industrial complex coming.  It is physically possible to construct a wall that works believe it or not.

Back to your history books.

The Chinese built a wall, you might have heard of it.

It failed.

Tell that to endangered migratory animals who straddle the border.

I suggest Citizens stop employing them to get their yard work done.

Yeah but the open border policy can't possibly be about cut lawns, it's infuriating.

Migrants are coming to work, they are being given work, so more migrants come to work.

Perhaps the migrants are needed to do the work they are being given.

...or perhaps they are undercutting the wages that a legal resident would have to be paid?  Which does nobody any good.

...and is also why my solution would be effective. Simply keep people in detention until their final status is determined. Don't let them wander the country freely. Remove the financial incentive.

Raise the minimum wage, job done.
