Just started on Netflix...

Madoff: Monster of Wall Street

Have also been watching lots of YouTube videos about Crypto Scams, lmao at the "Elon Goat" ("Greatest Of All Time") coin whos creator's built a $600,000 model rocket, put a statue of a Goat with Elon Musk's head on it's back, then drove it to the Tesla plant in Texas in the hope that Elon himself will come out to collect it & in the surrounding hype make themselves a fortune.

I've just watched the first few episodes of season 1 (of 2) of Blood. It's a crime drama set in Ireland. I've enjoyed the episodes so far and it's well worth a look IMHO. Cast includes Adrian Dunbar (Line of Duty). I got it from TGx.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8991526/

The plot sounds a little like The Staircase (2022):

Colin Firth stars as Michael Peterson in this true story. Michael, successful crime writer and budding politician, calls 911 claiming his wife had fallen down the stairs and is now not breathing. But when the police arrive the scene tells another story.

Dragged a little in the middle with the French film connection but otherwise very good.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11324406/

Alternatively , a documentary series with the real people.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388644/
As viewed by French film makers.

Thanks @Andrew Dwyer. I'll have a look at The Staircase.

I was looking forward to the release of "The Menu", so last night downloaded and watched it, and was disappointed, and I only watched it through because I was waiting for something to happen.

The plot was similar to a few other movies that have been made but I won't give the game away. Following along from the title, I thought the movie was full of plot holes, full of itself and not as tasty as the makers would have you believe, and without an understandable ending!

Netflix:  Bridgerton.

A quality british 2 seasons serie.

Bridgerton,

London 1813, the Regency rivalry between the lordly Bridgerton family and the lordly Featherington family who are each keen to be seen as the most lordly of lordly families and lord it mostly lordily over the rest of Regency London’s high society.

Astrid Nielsen works in the library of the judicial police. She has Asperger's syndrome. With an incredible memory she excels at analyzing files of ongoing investigations. The district commander decides to use it to the fullest, entrusting her with very complex investigations which have remained unsolved to date. From Walter Presents, in French with English subtitles.

Astrid Et Raphaelle is the name actually for those interested.

Tulsa King.

Mafia capo released after 25 years in prison sets to rebuilding his life and crime empire in Tulsa, OK. At times rather cliche, but still an entertaining show starring Sylvester Stallone

Title:
Black Snow (2023)
Plot:
In 1995, seventeen-year-old Isabel Baker was murdered. The crime shocked the small town of Ashford and devastated Isabel's Australian South Sea Islander community. The case was never solved, the killer never found. In 2020, the opening of a time capsule unearths a secret that puts cold-case detective James Cormack (Fimmel) on the trail of the killer.

Aussie crime mini series, TGX.

Coincidentally I started watching the semi classic American Hustle just before Jeremy Renner was seriously injured. It's very roughly based on the Abscam Scandal, maybe you need to look it up. Anyway lots of great star studded acting, gripping story, and comical New Jersey color. Louie CK has a minor role where he made the ice fishing story that was never finished famous. You'll have to search for the ending online as it's not in the movie. Please don't post it here.
