There were 83 traffic accidents in which 50 people died during the three-day New Year holiday that ended on Monday.

 

Another 51 people were injured.

 

The number of deaths and injuries were 31% and 45% higher than a year ago when it was again a three-day holiday. The number of accidents rose by 29%.
