This could have been something incredibly random... Or one or or a combination of a multitude of many other reasons.... gang initiation to a hired hit... etc... This must be horrific for his loved ones. Yes, but some reports from the Police suggest road rage, or a love triangle issue have not been dismissed; we just don't know and neither do the police. What we apparently do know is that he was drinking with mates from 4pm and this was a few hours later and he was riding his scooter. Maybe he was just drinking diet cokes all evening, but let's not speculate at this stage.

allanos
Really doesn't sound like a pre-planned "hit". Who would be lying in wait for the victim if he stopped off randomly somewhere to buy a few groceries? Hits are more likely to be front on, on a pedestrian target, and not shooting at someone riding away down a soi. Even with three shots, the shooter cannot be certain of having made a "kill". Given the place of the killing, it seems to me that the girlfriend's involvement can be ruled out. It appears more likely to be a road-rage "revenge" shooting, or resulting from an argument in, or close to, the store where the goods were bought. More questioning of the shop-keeper is called for, and which, no doubt, the cops are busy with. In my view, a long-shot (no pun intended), is that this is a hit ordered from England, and that Mr Roger(s) was followed by the perpetrator. There is no evidence for this, of course, and there may never be, and the thought may be extreme. We are all just putting our best theories forward.

Was he in the habit of bringing large sums of money back to Thailand? If your answer is no then it is you that has no clue. I cannot think of any expat that I know who would wander around with 20,000 quid in his pocket. It seems that he was not robbed and if, according to your ridiculous theory the money was at his home it would be easier to follow him home, kill them both and then steal the money. That theory has as much validity as yours, but I know it is a load of rubbish as I was the one that wrote it.

People don't get assassinated for nothing, unless its a case of mistaken identity. I suspect that there is much more to this than has been reported. ""People don't get assassinated for nothing".... Not true. It happens every day all over the world. Caused by people on drugs (usually Meth), others trying to get into a street gang need to "prove" themselves worthy, still others just trying to impress their friends. Others have mental issues. Look at the daily news in Chicago. People are shot every day for no obvious reason. Most of the time it's young black kids pulling the trigger. Where are their parents? Nowhere to be found until it's their kid who is the victim and then the parent wants to sue the police for not ensuring the kid was safe instead of taking that responsibility upon themselves where it should be. I'm glad I was born when I was. I don't want to see what this world has become in 30 years. Won't be good. 4 1

Harsh Jones
The lower you go down the age range, the more risk you are exposed to. I always understood the older guys who have older partners. Still far younger than them but not 30+. Its just more realistic that way. A 38 year old woman still has a lot ahead of her.
