Popular Post webfact
Picture: Siam Rath Firebrand former politician and TV presented Chuwit Kamolwisit was in fine form as he addressed the press with yet more revelations about the Jin Ling Chinese pub saga. The Whistle Blower-in-Chief, as he has been dubbed, laid into the RTP for their appalling evidence gathering, problems over access and differences in statements with the Narcotics Control Board, and corruption. All of which has been denied, he said. He gave further video evidence from a casino at the Jin Ling complex, reported Siam Rath. Then Chuwit said that ten building contractors who had had multiple dealings with Ta Hao, the owner at the center of the case, were owed tens of millions of baht. One person had gone to Chuwit saying that he moved 20-30 million baht of the tycoon's money every day. The source of the wealth was China. He said that victims in the case were coming to him because they didn't trust the bungling police and feared that To Hao was in league with them and protected. They feared for their existence. Then Chuwit gave his marks out of ten to an individual and two groups. To the chief of the metropolitan police he gave a total raspberry. Zero out of ten, adding that the man was an amateur. Prosecutors merited five out of ten. While the Department of Special Investigation got a glowing nine out of ten. With Chuwit adding that THEIR work on the Jin Ling case had been thorough, straightforward and quick. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-01-06 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. And there is the truth of it... The police have been in league with this guy all along, and finding a suitable scapegoat is proving difficult.

Do one thing really wrong and then spend the rest of your life living in a way to make up for it, or trying to. If I could see into the Thai psyche I would say he really doesn't like seeing Thailand owned even more and more completely by China, and he is tired of living in a country where the police are a joke--but I can't. But I'm equally skeptical of those who are cynical about his motives.

Interesting because the info redacted is highlighted in the original report.

I've tried searching for Chuwit but it just goes back to Thai which obviously doesn't recognise the search terms. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Dogmatix
Chuvit has made allegations that a business owned by the PM's nephew, Contemporary Construction Ltd Part was involved by acting as a sub-lessor for 50 tour buses used by Tu Hao's businesses. These allegations have been widely reported in Siam Rath and other Thai media. ASEANNOW seems behind the curve on that one. The same nephew was involved in allegations of corruption involving army construction projects a few years ago but investigations turned up no evidence of this.
