Having previously run for president in 2024 as an independent, Kennedy eventually withdrew from the race and endorsed Trump. Many lawmakers have questioned his past statements on vaccines, his association with organizations that promote unverified health claims, and his shifting stance on abortion. Kennedy is the founder of Children's Health Defense, an anti-vaccine group that has gained prominence by casting doubt on childhood immunizations and promoting the widely discredited claim that vaccines are linked to autism. Despite this, Kennedy has denied being anti-vaccine, emphasizing that his own children are immunized. During his confirmation hearings, he argued that he merely advocates for stricter safety testing and more comprehensive research on vaccines. Some Republicans have expressed support for Kennedy, particularly for his criticism of food additives and his stance against the pharmaceutical industry. However, his confirmation hearings were marked by intense scrutiny, including sharp questioning on his promotion of health misinformation and his qualifications to oversee the nation’s healthcare system. One of the most contentious moments came when Kennedy was asked about his stance on abortion. Father’s Heartbreak as His Two Children Drown in Tragic Incident
Picture from responders. A father was left devastated after discovering the lifeless bodies of his 12-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter in a pond, following a frantic overnight search after they mysteriously disappeared. The tragedy unfolded in Sai Noi district, Nonthaburi province, when police received reports of two children drowning near a pond adjacent to a road in Nong Phra Ngai subdistrict. Authorities, including forensic specialists and emergency responders, rushed to the scene at around 09:00 on 13 February. Upon arrival, police found two pairs of children’s shoes, one green and one black, placed near the edge of the pond, which measured 10 by 15 metres and was approximately 3 metres deep. The father, Narong 40, a construction worker, broke down in tears as he recounted how his son and daughter had been missing since the previous evening. The children, who usually lived with their grandmother, failed to return home on 12 February, prompting him to search for them all night. At dawn, a local resident alerted him to the discovery of children’s shoes by the pond. Rushing to the scene, Narong dove into the water and found his daughter’s body submerged. Unable to continue searching due to the murky depths, he called emergency services for help. A specialist diving unit from a local rescue foundation was deployed, and within 10 minutes, they recovered the body of his 12-year-old son, who had autism. Narong, who had been raising his children alone after separating from their mother years ago, stated that neither child knew how to swim. Authorities conducted an initial examination of the scene and documented evidence. Those with a sensitive stomach beware, tourists rather than finding it an attraction about turn in utter disgust at the smell and lack of cleanliness/hygiene and walk the other way.
