The new wind farm profits are nowhere near Cornwall

Three of the new offshore wind farm locations are off the North Wales, Cumbria and Lancashire coast, and three are in the North Sea off the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire coast.

Ditto same reply + all other areas of the Duchy so this is zero to do with the Duchy of Cornwall

The Duke of Cornwall is a person, the Duchy of Cornwall is as stated in the link I provided:

https://duchyofcornwall.org/about-the-duchy/

The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate established by Edward III in 1337 to provide independence to his son and heir, Prince Edward. A charter ruled that each future Duke of Cornwall would be the eldest surviving son of the Monarch and heir to the throne.

I followed the link. Google highlighted this:  Here is the crucial portion without highlights: The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate

The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate established by Edward III in 1337 to provide independence to his son and heir, Prince Edward. A charter ruled that each future Duke of Cornwall would be the eldest surviving son of the Monarch and heir to the throne. The current Duke is HRH The Prince of Wales.

Here is the crucial portion without highlights: "The Duchy of Cornwall is a private estate..."

Do you understand the distinction made between the Duchy of Cornwall and the Duke of Cornwall?

As I stated, it is not a person.

You've yet to provide a link to your claim, you can't.

The point of the original post is that now that King Charles isn't the Duke/Duchy of Cornwall anymore and he now doesn't receive income from that estate , he has now decided to give that income to the tax man instead of keeping it for himself .

Here is your original point with its unsubstantiated claim. That is false

Duke being the person, Duchy being the land

Not true. He just wants to turn the windfall profits back to the State. Not only that, but the percentage of income that he gets to keep is not for him to say. It's the Treasury that decides this. The 25% was, in fact, a temporary rise from 15% to finance work on Buckingham palace. In fact as the article further notes:

"Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, has written to the prime minister and chancellor to propose an "appropriate reduction".

But anti-monarchy campaigners, Republic, have rejected the move as "cynical PR to pre-empt a government decision to reduce the percentage".

The group's chief executive Graham Smith said the King's statement "reflected an arrangement he had no power to change".

You need to prove that accusation. What was he "milking it" for, exactly? He hardly lived a jet setter life.

Also, do you assume he didn't discuss it with William? I reckon William would approve.

The Duchy of Cornwall is a well-managed private estate, which was established by Edward III in 1337.
