Daily News Thai Caption: Murderer of 3 month old infant arrested

Thai immigration and other police agencies have announced the arrest of a Thai man who shot and killed a 3 month old infant boy and seriously injured his grandmother in an incident in Pranburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, south central Thailand back in September 2014.

Jessada "Pha" Bunkaew, 54, was named in a warrant issued by the Hua Hin court for murder, attempted murder and arson.

He shot and killed little Thanakrit Buapha whose grandmother Rasamee Dechalor was seriously injured.

He also set fire to a vehicle at a house in Pranburi sub-district of Pranburi district.

Jessada was formally taken into custody by Mukdahan immigration after his identity was confirmed.

Over the years police had maintained contact with the Thai consulate in Savannakhet, Laos, over the case and recently the suspect was found by the Laotian authorities and arrested ahead of his deportation.

He will now be taken back to Prachuap to face the charges, reported Daily News

Better late than never ....Royal Thai Police  nearly ...always get their man.

That person has bought his freedom, he will never see the inside of a prison.

I trust he will get the death penalty? I can hope but know he probably wont despite deserving it.

Saying he was arrested b/f being deported? What a stupid sentence

How else would he be deported? A magical carpet ride?

This is what was actually reported,

"the suspect was found by the Laotian authorities and arrested ahead of his deportation".

What that means is the he was arrested pending deportation.  Not such a "stupid sentence" after all, and certainly not as stupid as...well, never mind.
