Former president Donald Trump is returning to Facebook.

Two years after the social platform banned him from its service in the wake of the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot, the company says that he can now return.

“The suspension was an extraordinary decision taken in extraordinary circumstances, Meta policy chief Nick Clegg wrote in a blog post.

Well hang on a minute, didn't he break the rules so had to be banned? Or were the big tech execs interfering with the democratic process by banning a popular President to silence him and severely limit his reach? Well, if they are letting him back on looks like the 2nd was true. Which I knew all along.

As we saw from the twitter files, the woke execs there knew he didn't break the rules either. More big tech interference.

Rather ironic after the left's constant assertion that democracy was being interfered with, yet turns out it wasn't the Russians.

Joe Biden’s on FB, so why not?  Not sure about Hunter Biden, though.

Fine, let him back on Facebook. It will probably be the same old regurgitated re-cycled grievances and lots of self-glorification throw backs from yesteryears. People have moved on but not him. Let him have the space to wallow in his sorrows.

One of the few good things people say about Trump is that he doesn't do self-pity. In other words he never 'wallows in his sorrows'.

Well he is a master troll that’s all he did during his (term) train wreck of an administration.Hopefully this time around they will flush as soon as he starts inciting violence again.

Would be nice if he comes back into the fold ,

Really?

A Study in Self-Pity

Asked to reflect on his term so far as he seeks re-election, the president’s answer is that he was treated unfairly. Even when he is literally invited by his interviewer to say good things about himself, all he can reach for is resentment...

He has treated the world’s most powerful job as a stage from which to vent his frustrations with the world’s mistreatment of him, and this has often kept him from advancing durable aims, from capitalizing on opportunities, from learning from mistakes, and from leading.

fact check - a 5 pinnochio dumpster fire.

To gently jog your memory-

Trump fortified the supreme court with 3 excellent new judges

Operation warpspeed enabling a vax to be created years before experts at the time said was possible

ISIS - when was the last time you heard of them?

First step act starting the criminal justice system reform

 Tax cuts and jobs act

managing to keep peace between Russia/Ukraine something the guy before him and after him totally failed with.

The historic peace he created in the Korean peninsula by being the first president to meet the Korean dictator on home soil. A wonderful moment even if conspiracy theories raging back in the USA overshadowed the events.

I could go on for hours, but the above should suffice to debunk your false assertion that all he did was troll.

As for your second questionable comment "Hopefully this time around they will flush as soon as he starts inciting violence again.", well we have no idea seeing as he never did incite violence unless you class telling his supporters to make their voices heard PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY is incitement?

Looks to me like big tech has egg on it's face after this climb down. We have not heard the end of the censoring of a President by using false claims and conspiracy theories.

Blew up the deficit with tax cuts when unemployment was low and the economy he inherited from Obama was doing fine.

Undermined US alliances across the world, doing Putin's work for him.

Gave Kim Jong Un the prestige and credibility he had long been denied by other Presidents, while getting nothing in return.

I could go on for hours, but I have better things to do than try to educate ineducable Trump cultists.

Really? Moderna did get a lot of US govt aid - much of it before Warp speed was created. But as for Pfizer

Germany funded the development of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine—not U.S.’s Operation Warp Speed

The truth is that Pfizer didn’t receive any funding from Operation Warp Speed for the development, clinical trial and manufacturing of the vaccine. Rather, its partner, BioNTech SE, has received money — from the German government.

https://fortune.com/2020/11/09/pfizer-vaccine-funding-warp-speed-germany/

What's really funny about this is that Trump no longer takes credit for the vaccine when he speaks at MAGA rallies. Too many boos from the lemmings.

US Policy and the Resurgence of ISIS in Iraq and Syria

October 21, 2020

ISIS attacks in Iraq and Syria have increased significantly in 2020, demonstrating both a capacity and a willingness on ISIS’s part to retake territory, populations, and resources.
In the wake of COVID-19 and the drawdown of U.S. forces, security gaps have worsened, allowing ISIS to move more freely, conduct prison breaks, carry out more sophisticated attacks, and smuggle fighters across borders.

It should be obvious that it depends on what the opinion is. When a candidate says it's everybody else's fault he lost and not his, I think that qualifies as proof of self-pity.

Because Russia hadn't launched its invasion while Trump was president, that means that Trump was responsible for that? Not everything that happens in the world had to do with the USA.

We do know that for months Trump illegally withheld weapons authorized by Congress to be sent to Ukraine as Russia and its Ukrainian allies escalated attacks. We know that Trump refused even to respond to desperate queries from Ukraine about. It was only after a bipartisan congress threatened Trump that he relented. And he still tried to pressure Zelensky into launching a baseless investigation of Joe Biden, his leading political opponent.

What historic peace? The effort went down in flames well before Trump left office.

Blaming imaginary people for your plight instead of taking responsibility isn't a sign of self-pity? And it was hardly just phantoms he blamed for his defeat.

Trump Blames Everyone but Himself for His Defeat

The Supreme Court. After the Court unanimously declined to hear two lawsuits challenging the election results in swing states, Trump said the justices—including the three he picked—"chickened out," revealing themselves as "totally incompetent and weak." Trump, who says he actually won by "a magnificent landslide," still claims he has "absolute PROOF" of "massive Election Fraud" that for some reason he has failed to produce in court.

What alternative reality are you existing on?................Trump wallows in self pity daily. I don't think one day goes by when one of his posts on Truth Social don't contain multiple references to his own victimization and self pity rants. Google search: "trump self pity"
