Fire at aircraft parts factory in Chonburi injures three

Thai Rath reported at just after 10 pm last night that fire at a factory making parts for aircraft continued to rage last night.

 

Sriracha police had been alerted to the blaze at around 8 pm at the Leistritz (Thailand) Ltd Co. in the Pin Thong 1 industrial estate in Nong Kham sub-district on Thailand's eastern seaboard.

Many fire engines from different stations attended the scene.

 

The fire had spread from the factory to a warehopuse containing gas and chemicals and frequent explosions could be heard.

Woranut, 21, a security man at the firm said he had seen smoke emanating from a roof then heard several explosions as the fire rapidly took hold.

 

No cause has yet been ascertained.

 

Three people were taken injured to Sriracha Hospital.
