Wonder what price he paid as the infused gummies are not cheap here. That shoukd have been an indicator they were not just gummies. I buy harino gummues for the daughter and a pack runs 20 baht for around 15 in the pack...I paid around 500 baht for a small jar of edible gummies which had 5 in the bottle at a shop in Phuket Town a few weeks back. The strength is not the same in any one of them quality control is an issue as of now. Not like the edible gummies from the US. Helps me sleep with my back and beck pain. Definitely not fir the kids. BTW all the edible gummies I see in shops are in the shape of a Marijuana leaf... 4
Popular Post KhunLA
Sounds like a BS story the parents are telling, because they don't want to be frowned upon for leaving their brownies out. Photo in news blip has nothing to do with the gummies being sold to children in Thailand ... Photo downloaded from the internet. Don't give your kids drugs ... WOW, who would have thought people needed to be told that. Yaba and ganga found in criminals urine test ... so drugs will turn you into a criminal.???? If I kill my wife can I blame the aspirin I'm taking ? If they tested criminal's blood sugar, if high, I guess they would blame sugar for making you a criminal. IAMHERE
Sorry all, but that picture just makes me think canabis jelly users are children at heart. The solution is to design all canabis jellies after cigarette packages.

SoilSpoil
Some of the advertised cookies on Facebook contain more than 40mg THC, which is way too much for most people, let alone children.
bamnutsak
We haven't had any of these fear-mongering, vague stories, usually involving minors and/or crimes, in a while. from the linked article... That shops selling cannabis jellies are not reported to the police is because it cannot be done as it is no longer a drug. Fail. The Police here can investigate anything or anyone they want to. They are not limited by published laws. Cannabis jellies, assuming they have greater than 0.2 % cannabis are ILLEGAL. The only thing with a THC value of greater than 0.2% that is legal is Cannabis flower. Yes, I'll stipulate that some dodgy edible with 0.2% or less THC could cause an issue with a small child (5 YO) or infant. Yes, there are a lot of local and imported edibles being pedalled on FB. Yes, edibles (in the U.S.) have likeable/familiar names and packaging. I seriously doubt some shop "near a school" is selling Cannabis edibles. My guess is that water (drowning), motorized vehicles, predatory adults and a new trend like vaping (many local reels with young children (10 YO) vaping) are much more of threat to children than cannabis edibles.

The problem here (if the story is true) is the store selling Cannabis to minors. Same as if the minor bought an Alcopop thinking it was Cola. It seems the doctor has an issue with Marijuana and is using the "think of the children" mantra to further his cause. 2
ikke1959
My first thought, why not fine the manufacturers of these jelly?? It is not done to make kids eat or use cannabis already and most candies are eaten by kids, as they have no idea what is in it... Secondly don't sell these candies in normal shops, but only in cannabis shops. and parents if you have brains don't give it to your kids how hyperactive they are.....But this is Thailand, everything goes as it is...and no clear rules and no enforcements...

Way too much for most of us and potentially dangerous (driving?). Thousands of children are buying it online, if one is to believe the Thai media.

That's not how the THC percentage is measured in edibles. The final percentage is based on the content of the source material, the extraction proess, the amount of decarbing material, the decarbing process, and then how much say "butter" is used to bake a cookie. Note that the extraction process is ILLEGAL. 1 hour ago, SoilSpoil said: Thousands of children are buying it online Doubtful but would welcome the basis for your assertion. Again, this story is about jellies, not brownies, and it is about a young person buying cannabis jellies in a shop. I will agree that most edibles sold on FB have a THC content greater than 0.2 %, and thus are ILLEGAL.
