Earlier there were many shots fired in the house in the Mankhong housing estate in Saphan Mai, northern Bangkok. The standoff had been going on for 19 hours. In a latest action a second volley of tear gas comprising 20 canisters was lobbed into the property. It was Sai Mai as I was there within about 250m in an adjoining gated community, luckily with high boundary walls, and could hear it all. Heck of a lot of gun fire going off around 12:15pm today then it was all over. Surprised the culprit was only injured with all the shots going off, he had been causing a nuisance firing his gun off over 24 hours.
