Thanks Its probably on a local road signboard in English. There will be a school with secondary students ask them: the English teacher should know just about enough to help. Can you get you wife to write the name in Thai here and I'll have a go for you. The attchment will give you a clue. Use a large font Thaicons.txt

farangnoi Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Know the problem, i´ve the same with ´our village´ is it nong keng, nong keang or nong kheang. (10 clicks from srisaket city) but found KANTROM on a road map aswell the same way written on www.sisaket.go.th.
tahaan Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 For what it's worth, I'd go for Kan trom or Kan trawm with a short 'a' vowel and longer 'aw' or 'o'
raslin Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Kantrom is probably what most maps would have. The purists would prefer Kanthrom as the "t" is aspirated and sounds like an English "t"

Post Office ? Thanks Sounds like Kantrom would be the best but your idea of the Post Office would be best if your objective is to have your mail delivered to your home.
