Hi , my kids has acute sinusitis and got all the meds 

 

one thing doctors don’t do is old remedies - steam / nebulisers. Did not have meds as a kid , so inhaling steam sometimes with a smidge of Vicks was the approach - would make your nose run faster than Husain Bolt

 

any OTC things to use ? I am using relatively hot water that has been boiled to make sure I don’t introduce more issues 

You could just put in some Tiger Balm. Essentially same thing as Vicks.
