Flirt with care. Their wives/girlfriends could turn nasty without warning.

FS....thanks for tip.....wise words....really.

but that aside...I have to add that the only guy I intend to flirt wiff is Jude :o ......I prefer honorary members :D

(with all the others...its all unintentional :D )

but serious note....thanks again.....

shall I presume you are french then?

Well if you want to stalk me you'll definately have to go to England because I'm not in Sweden anymore (supercar my arse and not enough pubs, I wasn't impressed) and well actually I'm off to Bangkok from 28th July to 11th August so I won't be here either.. er.. :o yeh.

BTW don't go to Malmo, it's boring, it's expensive and they're really very racist there.

shall I presume you are french then?

Nope. Just lived near Paris on and off for about 20 years.

So - Bon voyage !

:o

Have yourself a memorable trip, MiGgy. :o We expect to see photos of it, you know. Along with a travelogue essay or two. :D

I have just given all my chocs to the Dogs, I wonder why they are not looking too well :D

So how about it Mig, does Oxford sound appealing?

Moss

VERY appealing!!

but I think you are just luring me there to babysit Jude :o

I knew it was so impossible I would make the same mistake of missing to thank Moss again......

so I went back to read the thread again...and look

see the above Moss :D

notice the VERY?? :D

You must have hit the wrong pubs to get that impression. It's true there are many racists in Southern Sweden, but Malmö also has lots of good people... The bars around Möllevången were alright a few years ago anyway, IMO.

I have to agree it is not the first place I would choose to visit in Europe though... Copenhagen, Denmark, just across the water is far nicer.

First: Thanks everyone who have shared your ideas (including the ones that remind me I need to quit my job and travel Europe for 6months or so to see all the lovely places that is there :D )

An Update:

I applied for my UK visa on Monday...and its been approved (they did it in a day! got it back second day).....so looks like England it will be.

so if now you all want to spend your energy giving me suggestions on things to do in London and nearby again :o but please...people....remember I only have one week :D

I arrive on 28th July......and am kinda thinking of the Emirates Cup (Arsenal vs Inter Milan!!) on Sunday 29th. Other than that I havent got anything planned or organised :D hopefully by mid of next week I will have more time to search for info, book places and such......

so any suggestions, tips...especially on how not to go bankrupt by one week in England :D will be much appreciated

thanks again to everyone.......

A week is such a short time and there is much to see. Choose carefully. I would prefer to see fewer things properly than see everything very quickly!

I'd just like to say well done to MiG, who, single handedly took on the British enbassy and got herself a uk visa yesterday!

Good news and well done!

Mark

Mig, if you want an enjoyable trip, when you get to London, turn north and don't stop until you reach Scotland

hi Mark, FS, Tiggy, Thaddy etc etc

sorry I neglected the thread a little in the past few days...Im currently not in Bangkok...and not much time to get on the internet since late last week....

which means Ive also not had ANY time to look into any details about what to do/where to go while in London.....so any more suggestions...or a proposed itinirary will be much much appreciated infact...

FS...I hope to have time to look at the link you sent ...or anything else others will send ...hopefully towards the end of the week...

suddenly feeling so busy.....and a bit panicky that I wont have time to plan my trip! usually Im ok with last minute plans...but I have a suspicion doing that with London/England will end up costing me an even bigger forutne than it already would :D

thanks again all :o

I can organise you a guided tour of white hart lane if you like?

Mark how about watching a game at Emirates Stadium on Sunday 29th instead :D Arsenal vs Inter Milan :D

ok someone told me to go to Brighton?

other places mentioned were: Oxford, Cambridge and Bath

PS -- this friend studied in england..and said....Oxford should be for me as quote" as You are such an Oxford type of girl" but i have no idea what an Oxford-type is like...wonder if they all have bad taste in football team as does Mark :D he also said I must say darlin and cheers all the time while Im there :o

another question...I have a friend in Leeds....is it worth going to though? I have roughly 9 days in england.....

another question...I have a friend in Leeds....is it worth going to though? I have roughly 9 days in england.....

Leeds is a very old English city, but it is a little over-industrialised now, if you want to see some real Northern England history, York is only around the corner, well worth a day out.

They still wear sack cloth and paint blue rings on their faces in Yorkshire.

Not only that, but I hear it is common practise in Doncaster to eat one's young in winter.

Stay clear.
