webfact Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 By Tanakorn Panyadee Pattaya — A Chinese woman and her brother have been safely released today, March 22nd, after being abducted by their fellow Chinese. One suspected kidnapper was arrested while another fled back to China. Police last night apprehended a Chinese national at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 11 PM in reported connection with the kidnapping of a Chinese woman and her brother on Monday. The man was about to abscond from Thailand to China, according to police, however, his accomplice had already managed to flee to Shanghai. Thai police on Monday began an intense investigation after Ms. Shan Qi Qiang, 33, and her brother were reported missing by Qiang’s husband, Mr. Ma Mingshan, 33. The officers searched several locations in Pattaya and Rayong after they were able to detect the abductors’ communication signal while they were demanding 4.7 million baht from the hostage’s husband.
