Siam Rath reported that the head of Ubonratchathani immigration Pol Col Chatchai Samniang and his staff assisted a man who had a seizure.

It happened at the Chong Mek border crossing in the north east.

Immigration staff and medics gave the man assistance before 1669 rescue was called.

The man is now out of danger.

The story comes as immigration in Thailand is in the news for all the wrong reasons with stories about extortion and corruption filling many column inches.

Going to need an awful lot of these 'stories' if they are looking to repair their reputation

Imm Off: Boss some guy fell down over there

Imm Boss: Me, you and you: first aid. You: record it and email to media with my name... (I'm gonna be a General!)

Good for the IO team.

At the very least they did something to help the victim, and they may well have helped to save his life.

Oh dear, I must be a cynic. When I read the headline I thought an IO had siezed the man's wallet.
