When signing lease to begin in a few weeks. When to pay first months rent and security deposit to agent.  On signing or date you move in? Thanks

Just give Agent a small deposit to show you are committed to the rental,

try to arrange signing lease and moving in on same day ,pay rent and

deposit then. get receipt and lease.

Day of.  Also, make sure they are handling the tm30.

Thanks, my thought too but actual owner leaves for homecountry tomorrow and wants to sign now. Agent is non commital.

Agent gets money from you, keys from owner, and does the exchange as & when ready.

  Really.Ive prev paid all monies less small holding dep till day of occupancy.Much less uncertainty.
