Retired cop dead, another injured as pick-up collides with parked vehicle

Daily News Thai Caption: One dead, one seriously injured

 

Daily News reported that a 77 year old retired policeman had a seizure while driving a pick-up on the Loei to Tha Lee Road yesterday.

 

It happened in  Khok Yai sub-district.

 

A Toyota Vigo was driven by Sen Sgt Maj Chetchai Nento. He was seriously injured.

Next to him dead was Lieutenant Phairot Srikun, another retired policeman aged 79.

 

The cops had driven into a parked Isuzu pick-up with both vehicles ending up on their sides by the side of the road.

 

They were former police at the Tha Lee station.

It is believed that the sergeant had a seizure.

 

They were out driving on some private business.
