Ok that's good news.

So you can submit a TM-30 in sriracha with documents stating your address in pattaya, that's granted and you,  can then do extensions in sriracha  again using documents from address in pattaya ?

Interesting.

So what is being said, if living in Pattaya can avoid using Chonburi office at all and do annual extension at sriricha  ?

Can I know do others living in Pattaya use sriricha, and what is your experiences?

You didn't answer the question.

I live in Pattaya Chonburi and I only have the one address that is on the paperwork that is submitted to immigration in Sriracha Chonburi.

Is that clear enough for you ?

Ok. I'm not done yet.

this could be a very good heads up for many people.

who are tossed off with Jomtien immigration.

Do you do your extension in Sriracha in person.

with out using an agent in any way ?

also does your paper work you use say pattaya in the address. ?

Ps Are you doing 12 month retirement extensions ?

or something else. ?

My address says Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi.

My extension is done with assistance, I do not speak Thai.

Oh how i miss dealing with immigration in mae sai....never had a bad experience there in a dozen or so visits.

As with everything in Thailand.

It's never a problem until it is.

it only takes a change of boss at your office and things could be very different. :w00t:

I agree it's what i imagine hell to be like, you queue up for 2+ hours in the heat, no seats, then tell you to go home, we're closing, come back tomorrow and it repeats.

They need a troubleshooter person walking around helping falang outside, a friendly farang volunteer could do it

I recall there used to be a fellow who did that several years back.He was a big help in explaining stuff.Alas he's gone and hasn't been replaced. I forget his name btw.

Tried to do my extension on my own for the first time. For 3 years I had been using an agency. The guy I dealt with inside took against me at once. He shoved my re-entry form aside, without telling me what I should do with it. A visa is useless to me without a multiple re-entry stamp. He then said I needed to go out make copies of ALL the pages of my savings book.  My savings book was easy though, showing a balance above 1 million for the past six months and never dropping under 600k for years. He then told me the TM30 and landlord's confirmation letter I had to show for my address were no good, saying "you want long term visa, need long term contract". By this time I'd had enough. I called a cab to take me to my usual visa agency.  I'll never deal direct for anything in Thailand if I can help it.

Laughing out loud.I did my own for several years until 1 day something similar happened to me.These days I don't even have to go to Soi 5 anymore. All taken care od easy peasy!

As far as I can remember - before they were in Central Pattaya. But then they got a very good offer for the land and so they moved to Jomtien.

Yes on Soi 5 I think?

Ok. thank you.

That's a bit different, a work visa.

Not a retirement extension.

Is the company/ School ? you work for in the sriracha area ?

Ps I would guess the person you take with you has some connection to that work visa.

would I be right ?

1. Not work visa, permission to stay extension.

2. Work is in Chonburi.

3. Person that accompanies me is a company employee.

There you have it. I doubt they'd let a Pattaya resident who either doesn't work at all or works in Pattaya apply at the Sriracha office.

Chonburi is Chonburi.

A friend in my Soi whom stays on a retirement visa also uses the Sriracha office.

I would say that the above is the reason you can do your extension in Sriracha.

I don't think they would entertain 20 people rocking up at there office, from pattaya.

Anyone going to try it and report back. ?

could be good or bad. be nice to know.

Anyway thanks for sharing how you do your

extension in Chonburi. :jap:

I think it must all be part of some reality TV show that is only broadcast to Thais, with a title along the lines of "See how easy it is to wind up the Falang".

Or, it's a TV reality show.

It's a Thai tv game show,

All you need is a old lady boy,  with some very dubious makeup on,  running around with a metal tray,  banging people over the head with it. shouting, get in line, stand over there, get a number. :cheesy:

I don't believe there is any more people using that office, than there was pre covid,

They are just being lazy, and very nasty with it now.

That place is over due for a clear out of useless officers.

Does anyone know what they do with the millions of copies?

I'm baffled.

They are as wellNo way anyone ever looks at those again. No way anyone could ever find the correct one, even if they desperately needed it. Really need to claw their way into the 21st Century.
