Come to Thailand to inhale the world's most carcinogenic air; experience the risk of trying to use a pedestrian crossing; get treated by doctors who view a sick person as a blank cheque.

Sadly, this is the realty of the situation.

Thailand’s reputation for quality and affordable medical services

Me: "Doctor I sprained my ankle."

Doctor: "I think we should do an xray."

2hrs later

Doctor: "Your ankle is fine. It's only sprained"

Doctor: "You should take the pills."

Me: What are they?"

Doctor: "Paracetamol and antibiotics."

Cost: Bt2000.
