Daily News Thai Caption: Childhood revenge!

Songkran is a time for family reunions but in Kalasin in the north east one meeting turned to murder as friends reminisced.

Thawatchai, 35, who works in Bangkok had gone back to his childhood home in Ban Dong Moo and was shooting the breeze with two mates over drinks at a house yesterday.

But when Suporn, also 35, raised a contentious issue from their past the two started arguing.

Suporn picked up a knife and stabbed his friend in the head to death.

He then fled on a motorcycle with sidecar going home to change.

But as he was leaving the area he ran into the Khao Wong police coming in the opposite direction.

He was soon back at the scene of the crime doing a reenactment.

He was charged with murder.

The pair had grown up together in the same family even though they are not related.

Awww the big baby lost his face boo hoo. What a complete kite flyer. You’d think most of these silly arguments could be sorted out the old fashioned way. Isn’t Muay Thai a national sport here?? Sad.

That would take some integrity, which is in short supply.

Rather go the shifty, sneaky route.

Songkran really is a travesty.
