In others words the thread is about nothing.

 

When return to Thailand with a new visa or visa exempt etc you are required to make a TM30 even if returning to your place of residence.

That's just one option.

Maybe check cellphone settings to download from google playstore.

I've read if not set to Thailand, the app won't appear in the listing.

the TM 30 seems to confuse people at times (based on what i read on this forum) so i called it an 'odd exercise'.  is that ok ?

it's only confusing if you don't stay up to date with the changes. the whys and wherefores are discussed here quite regularly. but TIT so up to you if you don't want to join the conversation.
