Take your head out of the sand please, this topic is about the extent of gun violence in the USA no other country comes even close. And it seems this will continue until sensible citizens face up to the fact that they have a problem.

While it is a sad state of affairs in the USA that many people are now taking into their own hands protecting themselves from the everyday criminal element that has festered in recent years... there are THREE (3) OTHER COUNTRIES leading the way in gun violence... so your statement that "no other country comes even close" is false and inflammatory... try to get your head out of wherever it may be.

While there are some things Americans do extremely well, with firearms they have yet to grow up.

Yes, you are correct, however - HOWEVER!! - - coming from an outsider, who always touts himself as perfect and talks about bonking his GF w/great pride, it is not really in your ballpark... I don't criticize things in your country - - it is called 'good manners' - - the USA definitely has problems... you probably shouldn't be critical unless you want to get it thrown back at you... it is enough to endure your bragging..

The Greatest Nation on Earth ... ya reckon ??!!!! Wouldn't go there if ya offered me millions.

Imagine what it must be like for black people in that place?

Well, we don't actually have to imagine do we just look at the George Floyds, Rodney Kings, Ahmaund Aubreys to know the answer to that.

Barbarians.

there must be so many people living in fear in the US, all due to the stupid gun laws, and the need for gun companies to make money

I'd feel safer in the US with a concealed carry, than risk my elderly martial arts skills against drug dealers, homeless, and gang members.

The cheerleaders to which you referred were shot by a Latino.

As I pointed out in my post directly after you hated on elderly white guys.

I didn't hate on elderly white guys. I'm an elderly white guy. I pointed out that they are the crux of the problem in the main.

That is  racist and ageist statement to make

Do you have any evidence to back up your claims ?

Unlike you, always. Ironically, I believe you are the king of failing to provide links.

A Black person is more likely to commit a crime than a White person, according to your figures .(baring in mind that there are more White people than Black people)

Off topic deflection as usual. The topic is about innocent young people being unjustifiably shot by morons.

yes, but if you thought everyone else was carrying too, like the bloke sat directly behind you on the bus that you cant see easily, would it not make you feel more nervous?

It was you who didn't provide a link and that is what I had to request a link .

You didn't provide a link and then you accuse ME of not providing links .

You then provided a link and when I replied to the figures in your link, you accused me of going off topic .

How about you taking responsibility  your own actions and stop pointing the finger at me ?

I did when challenged. I didn't think the jury was still out on my claim and I subsequently proved that it wasn't. I only provide a link when I think there's a reasonable chance that it will be challenged or that the claim is new to this board. It wasn't new.

A Texas man went next door with a rifle and began shooting his neighbors, killing an 8-year-old and four others inside the house, after the family asked him to stop firing rounds in his yard because they were trying to sleep, authorities said Saturday.
