To renew a retirement visa in BKK, is an appointment still needed at CW? I was hoping to go tomorrow, but their booking system shows end of next week as first slot.

Are most people just walking in?  (Sorry, this question gets asked a lot, but I couldn't find any recent replies).

You can do walk in.

 

However that's crazy as the appointment system works a treat. 

Guess I waited too long. Next appointment is 8 days away (and at 2PM!). Thanks, I'll do a walk in tomorrow.

They will likely accommodate you, but expect a long wait. Take a good book. Given that Wednesday is a holiday, they will be busy. If you are unlucky, it might happen that they will tell you that you must come another day. When does your current permission to stay end?

On the options for bookings I cannot find "certificate of residence" ........guess that's just a walk up service?

Yep, as you say 'walk up service' is it for the certificates at CW. Not on the list for appointment bookings. Can take some time to complete it there, depending on the turnout for business at the B desks.

Will add small advice here to folk dealing with CW.

 

So today my plan was to do a 90 day report at CW.

This was because my online was rejected due to lack of room #.

So I filed another online report and it's still pending for over one week.

So yesterday made a 90 day report appointment for today 11am.

 

I also needed a certificate of residence.

Here is the TIP......The io that does the 90 day report then she immediately processed my certificate of residence.

 

So in future the advice is if you need a certificate of residence leave it till your 90 report window is open.

It's a back door way of having an appointment.

BTW appointments at CW run like clockwork.
