Popular Post webfact Posted June 2, 2023 Popular Post Posted June 2, 2023 Chinese Patrons Engaging in Drug Use, Private VIP Rooms Charging Six-Figure Fees for Personal DJs The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) conducted a raid on a high-end Chinese club party in the Huai Khwang district of Bangkok. The party was in full swing, with Chinese patrons indulging in drug use. Notably, the club required advance reservations and prohibited entry to Thai nationals. Furthermore, for those who wished to enjoy the private VIP rooms and sing karaoke, the fees amounted to hundreds of thousands of baht. These rooms featured personal DJs to enhance the experience, reported Daily News. Picture: Daily News At 3:00 AM on June 2nd, Lieutenant General Thirasak Chanthaapipat, the Commissioner-General of the DSI, along with his team, including Deputy Commissioner-General Police Major General Piyarach Wessakosol and Police Captain Chada Sesavetch from the Crime Suppression Division, led the operation. They carried out a search at the premises of Diamond KTV, a well-known massage parlor located on New Phetchaburi Road in the Bang Kapi district of Bangkok. During the raid, authorities discovered 48 Chinese tourists, consisting of 18 females and 30 males, engaging in drug use and partying in four karaoke rooms. The substances seized included cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy, and other illicit drugs, along with various drug paraphernalia. Lieutenant General Thirasak revealed that the entertainment venue targeted by the raid was popular among Chinese tourists and strictly prohibited entry for Thai nationals. Most of the visitors were wealthy Chinese tourists who could afford the hefty price tag of 100,000 baht per room. This fee provided six hours of karaoke entertainment with a personal DJ, accompanied by dedicated service staff. Picture: Daily News However, reservations had to be made in advance due to the exclusivity of the VIP rooms. Authorities had been monitoring this particular entertainment venue for two weeks, suspecting similarities with a previously raided club called Jin Ling, which took place on November 26th, 2021. Preliminary investigations have shown that several tourists were found to have drugs in their possession. As a result, they have been detained for further investigation. Picture: Daily News Authorities are now expanding their inquiry to determine whether the club was involved in the distribution of drugs to tourists. Additionally, they will be verifying the entry permits of the detained Chinese tourists to ensure proper documentation and compliance with immigration regulations. The arrested suspects, along with the confiscated evidence, were transferred to the Makkasan Police Station to proceed with the legal proceedings. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-06-02 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. The Superintendent of the Children and Women Protection Sub-Division, Theerasak Chantarapipat, shared the arrest details with ThaiRath. Theerasak disclosed that a tip-off had been received by the officers regarding a private drug party exclusively for Chinese individuals at the Diamond KTV in Bangkok. Following a two-week investigation, it was discovered that the establishment operated from 10pm until the early morning hours of the following day, catering to affluent Chinese patrons. To secure access to one of the karaoke rooms for a six-hour duration, customers were required to pay 100,000 baht. This package included the services of DJs and support staff. At approximately 3am, when the police arrived at the venue, they found 48 Chinese partygoers, consisting of 30 men and 18 women, reveling in four karaoke rooms. Emster23 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 If someone wants to pay 100k for a room, where is the problem? You can always pay too much for something, be it a coke or female companionship.... and if market forces help determine prices, the tab may be a bit low: "..However, reservations had to be made in advance due to the exclusivity of the VIP rooms". 1

happydreamer Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Wouldn't be surprised if they loaded the house and called the police on themselves. There's a lot more money in extortion than there is in entrance fees.

humbug Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 Went past Ratchada today, and saw the re-development of what was Snop pub, into Mingming entertainment, with a large sign next to the building, all in Manadarin, wanting workers, salary in yuan, as the club is opposite the Chinese embassy, but as one closes, another one opens
