Should I return to the UK - difficult decision!
Be interesting to know how much you paid in to the 'system' over the years. Seems like you left UK aged around 43? Working from the age of 16 and paying tax/NI? Been topping up NI contributions whilst away? Higher education/University so actually paid very little into the system taking into account the age you left the UK? I only ask because I believe there is a huge difference between what you are legally entitled to claim and what you are 'morally' entitled to claim (ie benefits ponce). The latter is probably immaterial in 99% of people's eyes. From your previous posts I know that you are a good man that has done an incredible amount of good for underprivileged children. However , I am talking about your average Joe. The way the benefits system is in the UK regarding illegal immigrants then the vast majority of people will say "fill your boots, grab what you can". I totally agree but that is a separate issue. That aside, I do have issues with people who haven't really contributed much to the system but want the maximum out of it when it suits them. No finger pointing here, just interested in your historical contribution. -

Video Chaos in Pattaya: Viral Fight Highlights City's Nightlife Issues
Picture courtesy of Pattaya News Pattaya’s nightlife took a chaotic twist yesterday when a brawl between two Thai women erupted near the famous Walking Street. This tumultuous scene, captured in a 79-second video, has quickly garnered attention online. Despite the early hour, the area buzzed with music and activity, raising questions about the city's enforcement of bar closing times. The altercation unfolded behind the Marine Hotel in South Pattaya, as a crowd consisting of both locals and tourists watched and encouraged the fight. Their presence underscored the continuing vibrancy of the Pattaya nightlife scene, where the party seemingly never stops. Despite the daylight, nearby bars continued to belt out music, creating an atmosphere as if it were still midnight. As the two women clashed, a foreign tourist attempted to intervene. The situation escalated further when two other foreign men began fighting, with one putting the other in a headlock amid the unfolding drama. Reporters visiting the location at 10 a.m. on June 25 observed several bars open, serving patrons with music blaring, as if morning hours were simply a suggestion rather than a rule. Pattaya News reporters found bar staff reticent to discuss the incident. However, a local motorcycle taxi driver provided some insight, claiming, "They're both bar girls. It was about a customer, or losing one. Happens all the time." Picture courtesy of Stay in Thailand The Pattaya City Police stated that they have not received any official complaints about the incident. They mentioned that unless someone files a report or injuries are documented, they will not initiate a formal investigation. On the same chaotic day, another brawl occurred at the Threpprasit Soi Market. Just before midnight, a longstanding dispute over loud music escalated violently, resulting in a vendor being hospitalized with injuries. The attackers fled the scene before authorities could intervene. These incidents have cast a spotlight on Pattaya’s less glamorous side, where the vibrant nightlife can sometimes lead to chaos rather than celebration. The continuous party atmosphere, stretching into the early hours, reflects a city where dawn is less a call to end the festivities and more a prompt to stay alert. This dual set of brawls not only highlights the persistent issues within Pattaya’s entertainment district but also emphasizes the city’s struggles with controlling late-night revelry. As Pattaya continues to attract visitors from around the globe, ensuring safety and adherence to regulations remains a key challenge for local authorities. Politics Parliament Showdown Looms as Bhumjaithai Seeks to Oust PM
Whatever the outcome of a no-confidence vote to determine whether Shinawatra remains PM or replaced in a national election, this process by an elected part of Parliament is democratic versus her ouster by an unelected Constitutional Court. I hope Shinawatra participates in this process. -
