New Partygate video ‘shows Tories dancing, drinking and laughing at lockdown rules’

A party organised by Shaun Bailey’s mayoral campaign

Partygate video appearing to show Tory staff drinking, dancing and joking about “bending” Covid lockdown rules has emerged, piling further pressure on the party just days after Boris Johnson was found to have lied about rules being followed.

The video, said to have been taken on 14 December, 2020, when socialising inside was banned in parts of the UK, shows for the first time, staff joking about their Christmas party at the Conservative Campaign Headquarters (CCHQ) in London breaking the rules, according to The Mirror.

The party was organised by the campaign team behind Shaun Bailey’s ultimately failed bid to become mayor of London and “formal disciplinary action” was taken against four staff members over the “unauthorised” event.

The party itself had been previously documented when photos first emerged last year, and police dismissed an investigation citing a lack of evidence at the time, but the video has added further evidence of the scale of the celebrations within the Conservative party.

Should have held the party in Durham.

It would have been different then, eh Keir, Keir, where have you gone Keir?

Angela Rayner could explain, oh sorry, she wasn't there, must have been a hologram.

The Chief Constable of Durham appears to have switched his phone off!

Everyone knew it was BS.

Same as Starmer having a beer unmasked at his “work event”.

I’m just glad I saw through it all and ignored the BS as well.

I hope people remember this lesson for next time.

‘Slavishly following the rules’

Like being denied visits to dying loved ones, or being denied attending funerals of family members.

That is whataboutery. They were not videoed visiting dying loved ones or attending funerals as they would have been prevented from doing so by the covid jobsworths, so they did not break those specific rules. They were just enjoying themselves having a drink together in private, as 100% of the UK population with a modicum of common sense also did during lockdowns.

The Conservative party suffers fools too readily and this debacle may lead to the shrinking of the party in future elections.

The only saving factor is that there's no other party fit to replace them. Labor might win the next election but it is hard to see them leading the UK for more than one term.

Personally, I would like to see any party willing to save the NHS get success at the polls.

Obviously you don’t understand my juxtaposition of the rules applied to the general public and the partying of the Conservative Party staff.

Or you choose not to.

Thats an old article from Oct 21 so is irrelevant. Those of us who stated lockdowns would do more harm than good have long been proven correct with Sweden showing the lowest excess deaths in comparison to lockdown countries.

https://www.news.com.au/technology/science/sweden-has-the-lowest-excess-mortality-rate-after-the-pandemic-despite-refusing-to-lock-down/news-story/df50001366bb09b6a20421520cbfbf53

The problem with only focusing on one thing is that the other 1000s of other things that can send people to an early grave were ignored and then exacerbated. The knock on effects of poverty, which is a huge killer, has not even started to kick in yet. The failure was lockdowns and other insane measures.

The population density in Sweden is 25/km^2, while that of the UK is 281/km^2.

Also, contrary to claims by some posters here, there were very substantial number of people dying from COVID around the world during 2020 who weren't in the oldest 80+ age group.

Yes, the 80+ group was the largest single group, but lesser but still large numbers of people in their 50s, 60s and 70s also were dying from COVID during the 2020 period referenced here.... not just the very oldest folks as has been claimed.

See the following WHO age breakdown chart for reported, official COVID deaths worldwide during 2020, with deaths shown in the right-hand column:

Screenshot_3.jpg.ce4f1d3f5eb483773aa4c38dfb1aa5e5.jpg

Although the above graphic appears to show COVID deaths in the 40-49 age group as relatively small, the actual death numbers in the chart for that age group for 2020 were 41,057 men and 20,201 women. The age 50s, 60s, and 70s COVID death counts as shown are even larger, and people in those age groups absolutely were at risk at the time, as the chart shows.

Fact check: Studies do show face masks and lockdowns slow the spread of COVID-19

March 2, 2021

"Social media users have been sharing posts online that claim there is no evidence that face masks or lockdowns slow the spread of COVID-19. This claim is false.

Examples can be seen here , here and here .

...

VERDICT

False. Lockdowns and face masks have been proven to slow the spread of COVID-19. The CDC and the WHO recommend the use of face masks, social distancing, frequently washing hands and other measures to reduce the spread."

The difference and the reason why none of that was breaking any rules or laws has been explained to you in a number of occasions.

Come on then, let us assume that I am a blundering thicko shall we?

Why was Starmer's late night social soirée, with beer and pizza, any different to Johnson's party with cake and coke? Why did it not break lockdown regulations when Johnson's party did?

Why was claiming that Raynor wasn't there when actually she was not telling a lie? After all she is his deputy so not unreasonable to assume he would have noticed her?

Why did the Durham Police basically not investigate, and dismiss the matter offhand?

On the basis of your own assumptions I don’t think it’s even worth wasting time trying.

They carried on working afterwards and it was just a late lunch break

There wasn't any difference, infact Starmers soiree was worse than Boris Johnsons, but Whitehall, the left wing press and of course the ever unbiased BBC have never forgiven Boris of taking the UK out of the EU. The gutter press are now chosing who runs the country and not the electorate.

Don’t let the facts of the Police inquiry get in the way of your need for a baseless conspiracy:
