Female Drug Suspect Dies In Fall From Police Station Window

A THAI woman arrested on drug trafficking charges died after jumping out of the third-floor window of Bang Kruai police station, Nonthaburi, yesterday (July 14), Naewna newspaper said.

 

Ms. Sawitree (surname withheld), 38, was arrested at 2 p.m. after a police team found 30 tablets of methamphetamine (Yaba) in her backpack. They had  gone Wat Sanam Nok Community to investigate upon being tipped off that there was a drug dealer there and then found out it was her.

 

The three policemen who arrested her said they brought her back to the station and took her to the third floor to record her arrest. The suspect cooperated fully and looked normal with a background check showing that she had a history of drug use.

Don't the cops, ever, take into considerations that desperate people will resort to desperate measure facing stark future? or is it too much to process with their dimwits of a brain?

Just think about the 'stark future' the addicts to which she was selling to will have.

Sad story for sure.She may have been under interrogation cops seeking her supplier.Oh it's tea time...we've opened the window so you can get some fresh air while you think about it. 

I'm sure she wasn't being suspended by her ankles looking at the street below.

Years ago a story in the Bkk Post about a lad leaping out an open window while being questioned about some crime. Happens in these countries sometimes.

Recall Ted Bundy jumping out a window of a police facility and escaping as well. Didn't die from the jump though.

There was a California police officer arrested for pedophilia in Cambodia when I lived there maybe 20 years ago. The local police complained that he wouldn't cooperate (likely due to him knowing the game they were playing). According to the police, he committed suicide. The story they told is that the suspect wrestled a gun from one of the officers and shot himself in the mouth...twice. 

 

And the moral of this story is that you can't necessarily believe what the police tell you when a suspect dies.

You can if the whole episode was being recorded, as in this case.

The police are in our village on a weekly basis, normally to the same houses. Strangely though, whenever they turn up the person they are looking for is away.

At least you have seen a policeman in your village.

 

They only appear at roadblocks in front of the school once a month for easy money.
