Only time will tell ! But right now Harvard / Harris shows the Independent voter siding heavily toward 45.

In June Trump was beating biden with Independents by 4% points in this july poll,it went to 18%

points!
The lines have been drawn on both sides, left & right! The fight is for the Swing vote!

So why do the Dems lovers think Biden is ahead in the polls?

It's like they refuse to accept defeat.

Naaa the reason no one wants trump is because rational folks have seen what’s he’s done and what he brings

It seems more than half want Trump.

This is getting bizarre now, did you even read the OP? And it's by CNN, at least they can accept the truth.

No one in Trump’s current polling position in the modern era has lost an open presidential primary that didn’t feature an incumbent. He’s pulling in more than 50% of support in the national primary polls, i.e., more

Do you think CNN are biased towards Trump?

Do you think they would say Trump is ahead when he's not?

Who knows? Were they referring to a single poll?

That list I provided is the definitive list of polls in America.

Defeat of what?

Polls are polls and have been wrong on multiple occasions

Elections, voting and their results are the only thing that matters

Democrats are overperforming in 2023's special elections. Is it a clue for Biden vs. Trump?

An analysis from FiveThirtyEight found that in 38 special elections held so far this year, Democrats have outperformed the partisan lean -- or the relative liberal or conservative history -- of the areas where the races were held by an average of 10%, both romping in parts of the country that typically support the party while cutting down on GOP margins in red cities and counties, too.

Agree.  These special elections and the 2022 midterms--where Dems also overperformed--are much better indicators for 2024 than these polls.  Because they are actual elections with actual voters.  And yes, abortion is/will be a big deal, particularly with suburban women.  The independents and moderates will determine the outcome.  And these same voters who ditched Trump in 2020, are they going to say "well we didn't vote for Trump last time, but now that he's been criminally indicted three times this past year, we might just go back to him.  Because we want a criminal in the White House!"  Yeah, right.

Trump is trying to temper the distaste the the majority of women and younger people feel for him by claiming that he doesn't support extreme abortion laws but just wants it to be a  states rights issue. Good luck with that.
