Worst Joke Ever 2024
1.Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool, so I gave him a glass of water. 2. I changed my password to "incorrect" so whenever I forget it the computer will say, "Your password is incorrect." 3. Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity. 4. I'm great at multi-tasking. I can waste time, be unproductive, and procrastinate all at once. 5. If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame. 6. Doesn't expecting the unexpected mean that the unexpected is actually expected? 7. Take my advice — I'm not using it. 8. Hospitality is the art of making guests feel like they're at home when you wish they were. 9. Television may insult your intelligence, but nothing rubs it in like a computer. 10. If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you'll have trouble putting on your pants. 13. A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing. 14. Drunk Crashes Into Motorcycle, Killing Two 14-Year-Old Girls in Tragic Wrong-Way Collision
Back in the day in the UK, a lot of effort went into teaching kids and adults the basics of road safety. At schools and by using public service adverts on TV. If only for the basics - they were drummed into us time and time again. Stop, look and listen before you cross. Look right, look left and look right again. Keep on looking as you walk across the road. Rules at zebra and pelican crossings. Wear something light (white) at night etc etc The public service adverts even advised about parking, dipped headlights and so on. But of course, we cannot teach the Thai government anything. -

ICE vs EV, the debate thread
What does the size of the population have to do with whether the consumers prefer EVs over ICEVs? Thanks to its topography, EVs are the better choice for Norwegians. Cheaper to run and cleaner air to boot. Norway has NOT mandated only zero emissions for 2025. This is merely an objective. In other words, they have a choice. And they have clearly chosen. -

extension of stay
Sorry, I have no idea what you're asking. I'm presuming you're not Thai and that you're here on some kind of visa, visa exemption, or an extension of stay. You need to provide more information. And do you realize this is the Chiangmai forum (i.e., a Bangkok forum likely would be more helpful if it concerns Bangkok issues). As poster bubblegum indicates, I'm not sure there are any different extension requirements for people who are or are not disabled. -

I'd get a second, and even third opinion, if I were you. -

Breast cancer with raised underarm lymph nodes.
New chemotherapy drugs are being developed all the time, what may have been true 11 years ago is not necessarily true now. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma two years ago, after getting a lump in my upper thigh checked. By the time I was treated in Australia, the cancer had spread to two other sites. I am in full remission. Biopsies are the cheap way to investigate, a complete examination would involve a CAT scan with a radioactive sugar marker. -

Documentary explores war crimes being posted on social media.
Sorry to say, do not need superior intelligence to understand you are biased, brainwashed, or just act! Interesting you believe since there is no valid evidence in your eyes, war crimes done by the Israelis doesn't happen. While Russians is all evil doing the same as the Israelis. And you do not see how much alike Frank you are, where both only trust your own government controlled medias and sources or the IDF who is? -

Trump Haitians here is the link
i have no problem with genuine refugees seeking asylum and lets face it, the Clintons screwed over Haiti or parts of it so the US at least owes them something. regardless if they were given legal status, dumping them all in a small town cannot be good for that community and resources. that would be a concern for the residents i'm sure and i'd wonder how much they were consulted on the matter. i can guarantee nobody in DC gives a <deleted> about either side. to be honest the Springfield thing is of little interest to me, but all of a sudden youre pearl clutching over something you didn't even know about until Trump mentioned it the debate a few weeks ago! Americans were permitted to buy land in Thailand, until recently that is. some treaty from the Vietnam war i believe, others did it via a companies, of which the local Thais have grown wealthy from.- 1

Save The Children Urges Action on Child Road Deaths in Thailand
Thailand is stuck in third-world-dom. 27,000 kids dead in 10 years on the roads and we all know nothing will be done about it. After the shock of this tragedy, you know that next week buses' inspectors will be back to certifying that buses with 11 gas canisters and canisters placed in the passenger compartment are legal. These inspectors will earn 4000 baht for each one of these death traps they allow on the roads. How many more kids will it take. It makes me weep.
